It all started one quiet night.
Reny looked up at the stars,
made a wish — not just for herself,
but for everyone who's also
gone through big changes . . .
. . . It began in
blank pages
&
a box of crayons
Before Pipa was in a book, she was a drawing.
Before that, she was a spark.
A real one, from a girl who wanted to
understand the world around her. So she
created a friend who could hold all the
feelings she didn't have words for yet.
Pipa was created when one heart needed to feel seen,
& now she wants to share that for others . . .
Sometimes, everything changes
— and adults don't
know what to say
- but somehow, kids do.

writing this story...

What she created — in Pipa — helped us understand
her more clearly than any conversation had.
We realized other families could share our story.
